Spirited Wiskeh give it their best shot
This was a fantastic match between the in-form Wiskeh, and top of the table Langel. The first map, Blank, saw an even first half, with scores still tied at 0-0. However, Langel put the foot down in the second half, and scored 2 caps in quick succession for a 2-0 lead. Unfortunately, the server crashed about 4 minutes from the end, with Wiskeh conceding the first map to Langel.
The second map, on Outside, was a classic. Langel attempted a different tactic at the start, and were quickly down 1-0 inside the first minute. It was cap for cap after that. Langel held a 5-4 lead late in the game, with a long stand off taking place with both flags in the enemy bases. Langel just scraped home 5-4, to take the tie.
The dead rubber on Quick was a topsy turvy affair. Langel shot out to a big lead at 4-0 just before half time. It looked like the mercy rule could be invoked. However, Wiskey showed a lot of bottle to get a cap back before half time. Langel were holding on in the second half, and still led 4-3 with a minute to go. A long stand off ensued, but 2K was able to hold Langel, and wiskeh managed to cap again to force overtime. After 5 minutes of overtime, Wiskeh managed to cap again to seal the victory.
For Wiskeh, spookz played very well, with 4 caps, 4 assists and 19 returns. For Langel, Pain was man of the match with an all-round performance of 6 caps, 26 returns and 4 cap assists.
